Welcome!
I’m Australian author Amelia Mellor, best known for my historical fantasy novel The Grandest Bookshop in the World.
I was born in 1993 and I grew up in regional Victoria, writing stories all the way through school. I worked as a teacher out in the country for two years before becoming a full-time author. Now I live in Melbourne with lots of books and a big fish tank — a little like the Cole family! When I’m not writing, I like to work on craft projects, walk on the beach or in the bush, play indie puzzle games, and read dazzling new Aussie literature.
I have three new releases scheduled for 2026. Oceanforged 2: The Silent Island is coming on the 31st of March, Oceanforged 3: The Sinking Ruins is coming on the 28th of July, and Your Next Read: The Guinea Fowl Mystery is coming in October.
